Cristiano Ronaldo received a massive super watch valued at two million dollars USD in exchange for missing Al Nassr’s AFC Champions League group stage match against Al Duhail.
The opulent Twin Turbo Furious watch was placed on striker Al Nassr’s wrist by Mr. Jacob Arabo, the creator and creative director of the watch and jewelry firm Jacob & Co.
Ronaldo is thought to have found solace in this, given the Portuguese player was not present at Al Nassr’s most recent 3-2 victory over Al Duhail in the 2023–24 AFC Champions League group stage, which happened early on August 8, 11.
“I was in the neighborhood so I decided to come and deliver this special watch to the unique star, Cristiano,” Jacob Arabo wrote in an Instagram post.
The Twin Turbo was originally launched at Baselworld in 2016. It is recognized as the first watch in history to combine two three-axis tourbillions and a minute repeater. However, that still wasn’t crazy enough for Arabo.
The Twin Turbo Furious, introduced in 2018, went even further, incorporating a single-pusher chronograph and time difference computer.
Like all the watches in this product line, the “super product” that Ronaldo just received is an ode to high-performance supercars and their level of mechanical complexity.
Meticulously decorated and assembled by hand, this model consists of approximately 832 components, of which the tourbillon accounts for a total of 104 components but weighs only 1.15 grams.
The 57 mm diameter case of the Twin Turbo Furious is made of 18-carat white gold and set with 344 baguette-cut white diamonds. Specially curved sapphire crystals are featured on the front and back, allowing one to see through the complex movement called the JCFM05, which has an impressive power reserve of 50 hours.
Gray sapphire crystal dial with luminescent hour and minute hands. It is also decorated with a “duct” and “fuel gauge” following the car’s design. The side of the case reveals the lever, which also serves as the crown for the watch. Of course, this watch is limited to only 18 pieces.
Ronaldo also owns a Brilliant Flying Tourbillon worth $700,000
Ronaldo is ranked as the highest-paid athlete in the world, with an estimated annual income of $136 million, so owning many valuable watches is understandable. The Portuguese player has been spotted wearing a $700,000 Brilliant Flying Tourbillon, a custom Girard-Perregaux and the most expensive Rolex ever made.
