Vinicius Jr is courtside as the Clippers lose in Oklahoma City while Eduardo Camavinga watches the Rams beat the Saints in LA as the Real Madrid duo make the most of being injured

Real Madrid footballers Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius Jr. were both seen attending sporting events in the USA on Thursday night. Despite being injured and unable to play in Real’s La Liga match against Alaves in Spain, the players made the most of their time away from the treatment table and traveled across the Atlantic for a vacation. Although they were both in the USA, they were spotted at different games on the same night.

Camavinga, who suffered a knee ligament tear while on international duty with France, was seen on the sidelines at SoFi Stadium before the crucial game between the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints. He witnessed an exciting match in California, with the Saints almost staging a comeback but the Rams managing to hold on and improve their playoff chances. Camavinga appeared happy as he walked down the sideline with his entourage, clutching a Rams scarf. He was not the only notable sports star in attendance, as baseball sensation Shohei Ohtani was also present, enjoying his offseason after signing a $700 million, 10-year contract with the LA Dodgers.

On the other hand, Vinicius Jr. traveled to Oklahoma City to watch the Thunder face the star-studded Clippers team at Paycom Arena. The Brazilian forward sat courtside and witnessed the Thunder end the Clippers’ nine-game winning streak with a dominant performance by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Vinicius was captured on camera looking delighted as he held his own customized Thunder jersey from the front row. The game featured notable performances from James Harden, who scored 23 points, and Paul George, who added 22 for the Clippers. Kawhi Leonard was absent from the game due to a bruised right hip. Former Thunder player Russell Westbrook received a standing ovation and enthusiastic cheers when he entered the game as a reserve for the Clippers in the first quarter. Westbrook finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Despite their injuries, Camavinga and Vinicius Jr. made the most of their time in the USA, enjoying sporting events and immersing themselves in the atmosphere. These experiences likely provided a welcome distraction from their recovery processes and allowed them to support fellow athletes from different sports.
