Real Madrid ‘Will Put Kylian Mbappe On Cristiano Ronaldo’s Fitness Regime’

REAL MADRID are planning to put Kylian Mbappe on a “Cristiano Ronaldo-style” fitness regime, according to reports.

The French forward signed a five-year deal with the La Liga giants earlier this summer after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

Following his exit from Euro 2024, Mbappe is now preparing to join up with his new team-mates.

However, Real Madrid are looking to transform the 25-year-old’s physique ahead of the new season.

According to AS, Los Blancos have tasked fitness coach Antonio Pintus with the task.

Pintus has been asked to get Mbappe into peak condition for the Uefa Super Cup against Atalanta next month.

He will have the chance to win his first trophy with the club at the National Stadium in Warsaw on August 14.

The report adds that Pintus, who has been dubbed the “Sergeant” for his toughness during sessions, has a Ronaldo-style project in mind.

Ronaldo transformed into a physical specimen during his nine years in Spain, winning 16 major trophies and scoring 450 goals.

He remains in peak condition aged 39 five years after leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.

His condition is partly down to a strict diet plan, which features swordfish, chicken and five naps a day.

The Portugal legend also credits regular swimming sessions and using a Cryotherapy chamber for maintaining his athleticism.

Mbappe is now set to succeed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who worked with Pintus during his first spell at Real Madrid.

The Italian returned to the club in 2021 as part of Carlo Ancelotti’s backroom team following two years with Inter Milan.

He has also previously had spells in England with Chelsea, West Ham and Sunderland.

Pintus has been part of four Champions League-winning campaigns across his two stints in the Spanish capital.

Meanwhile, Mbappe will arrive off the back of struggling at Euro 2024.

The France captain broke his nose in their tournament opener against Austria and was forced to wear a mask for their remaining matches.

Despite the injury, though, Mbappe scored once and provided two assists in five appearances.
