Like his colleagues, Kylian Mbappe has many different nicknames, the most prominent of which is “Ninja Turtle”.

Mbappe was nicknamed “Ninja Turtle” during his time at PSG after joining the Parisian capital club from AS Monaco in 2017.

When he first arrived at the Parc des Princes, his teammates greeted the French striker with funny jokes. The videos were then widely shared on social media platforms.

In the PSG dressing room, the players also began to nickname Mbappe “Ninja Turtle”, based on the popular children’s TV show.

Center-back Thiago Silva – one of Mbappe’s teammates at PSG – once gave his junior a “Ninja Turtle” mask in a Dior box. This footage made fans laugh and went viral on the Internet. Since then, when talking about Mbappe, people have used the nickname “Ninja Turtle”.

At PSG, Mbappe is also known as “Donatello”, the name of one of the four ninja turtles. The French player got this nickname because of his appearance similar to Donatello. This name was also born because of the humor in Mbappe’s personality every time he answered interviews as well as training.

Mbappe, 25 years old, just left PSG to move to Real Madrid in early June. The French striker is currently involved in a scandal that is considered “unnecessary” with the Parc des Princes team, when the two sides have exchanged words to criticize each other.
