Expectant Princess Beatrice was the epitome of elegance in a rich burgundy outfit as she attended Princess Kate’s festive carol service, proudly showing off her growing baby bump. The 36 year old Royal arrived at Westminster Abbey hand-in-hand with her doting husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and Beatrice’s Stepson – Christopher Woolf, affectionately known as ‘Wolfie’ to those close to him. The mum-to-be, who is set to welcome her bundle of joy in early 2025, has always spoken lovingly of Wolfie, her ‘bonus son’, and is renowned for her active and nurturing role as a stepmum.
Edoardo, a successful property developer, had Wolfie in 2016 with his former partner, American architect and designer Dara Huang. This year’s carol service marks the second time little Wolfie has joined the Royal festivities, having made his debut at last year’s event, also hosted by Kate at Westminster Abbey. Beatrice, who embraced motherhood with the birth of her daughter Sienna in September 2021, has never been shy about expressing her affection for Wolfie, embracing him wholeheartedly into the Royal family.

Reflecting on their special bond during an interview with the Evening Standard for World Book Day 2021, Beatrice recounted the joy of sharing stories with Wolfie during lockdown, saying: “This year, I had the great honour to become a stepmother, and have had the most remarkable time going back over some of my most favourite stories at bedtime. Together, we had such a special time reading through all the entries for Oscars Book Prize 2020.”
Princess Beatrice opened up about her stepson’s home-schooling experience, saying: “My stepson has been, as many children have, home-schooling this term. Helping him to engage with stories is a great journey to inspire imagination, creativity, independence and humour,” reports the Mirror

Her mum, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, also expressed her love for her step-grandson, even dedicating her recent children’s book, ‘Flora and Fern: Wonder in the Woods’, to him. Fergie told the Mail on Sunday: “I wrote Flora and Fern for my grandchildren and also my step-grandson Wolfie. It is a special little story encouraging children to enjoy and respect nature and use their imagination to play. The names Flora and Fern are chosen to encourage more understanding of how important nature is.”
Now, Beatrice and Edo, who tied the knot at Royal Lodge in 2020, are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child together, having announced their pregnancy in October.
