Famous Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu passed away on February 2, at the age of 48, due to complications from flu and pneumonia, leaving Asian fans shocked and heartbroken.
Previously, on January 29, on the first day of the Lunar New Year, Barbie Hsu flew to Japan with her family.

According to reports, she appeared exhausted as soon as she arrived. A recent photo that went viral, said to be taken from the driver’s perspective, captured Barbie Hsu leaning on her husband – DJ Koo – with a pale face, closed eyes, and a pained expression, as if she was suffering from extreme discomfort.
This photo is said to have been taken while the couple was traveling to a hotel in Hakone.
However, after investigation, the original photo was removed from social media, making its authenticity difficult to verify.
Taiwanese media respects the privacy of Barbie Hsu’s family
Barbie Hsu’s mother, Ms. Huang Chunmei, returned to Taiwan at 5:15 p.m. on February 4.
Her younger sister, Barbie Hsu, and her husband, DJ Koo, are expected to return to Taiwan on February 6, bringing Barbie Hsu’s ashes with them.
Respecting Barbie Hsu’s final wishes, Taiwanese media have asked press agencies to maintain a respectful distance and avoid invading the family’s privacy.

The loss has left fans and the entertainment community deeply saddened. Although Barbie Hsu’s mother was expected to arrive at 5:15 p.m., and many family friends were also present at the airport, an hour after the flight landed, there was still no sign of her.
Barbie Hsu’s management team later issued a sincere statement thanking reporters for their cooperation:
“Dear media colleagues, we sincerely appreciate your understanding.
As we are still handling related work, we will not disclose the exact time of return.
We understand your work needs, but to avoid long waits at the airport, we would like to inform you in advance.”
According to reports, Taiwanese media pledged to honor Barbie Hsu’s final wishes by reminding everyone to respect the family’s privacy.
This includes providing photos and videos of her mother’s arrival at Taipei Songshan Airport, while protecting privacy and not disrupting the family’s funeral process.
