Time
magazine on April 16 announced the list of “100 most influential people in the world in 2025”, with the appearance of many famous businessmen in the fields of technology, fashion and retail.
One of the most prominent figures in the business world is Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, currently ranked 3rd on the list of the world’s richest people, behind only Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, with an estimated fortune of
174 billion USD
according to
Forbes.“Mark Zuckerberg has always been a bold bettor on the future,”
Time
said. Back when much of the world was still in the dark about its potential, the CEO invested heavily in virtual and augmented reality, willing to put Meta’s entire identity into a vision that few could have imagined at the time.
More recently, Zuckerberg’s belief in open-source artificial intelligence — exemplified by Meta’s groundbreaking Llama models, which have been downloaded more than a billion times globally since their launch in 2023 — has helped reshape entire industries.
“He pushed to democratize technology, bringing AI closer to the community, making it more popular and accessible than ever before,”
Time
commented.
The most controversial name recently – Elon Musk – CEO of Tesla and “right-hand man” of President Donald Trump is also on the list.
Elon Musk is a business phenomenon with spectacular breakthroughs, often exploding during periods of “demon mode” – a term coined by biographer Walter Isaacson for the moment when he devoted all his energy to a new challenge.
Thanks to that, Musk has created miracles, from the electric car revolution with Tesla, acquiring Twitter, to conquering space with SpaceX.
However, reporter Simon Shuster said: “Musk acted so drastic that it caused more chaos than positive results. But that seems to be exactly what he was aiming for.”

Doug McMillon – considered the “architect of the revival” of Walmart and the global retail industry – was recognized by Tim e as one of the most outstanding leaders this year.
As traditional retail continues to be challenged by e-commerce, home delivery, and AI, Doug McMillon has proven his ability to steer Walmart steadily, elevating the in-person shopping experience, boosting e-commerce, expanding the “everyday low prices” model globally, and restructuring its workforce for the future.
Thanks to that, Walmart still maintains its position as a giant with a market value comparable to leading economies.
Some of the new names on this year’s Time list include: Miuccia Prada – founder of Prada and Miu Miu, Ted Sarandos – CEO of Netflix and Bobbi Brown – founder of the Bobbi Brown cosmetics empire.
