On July 6, Flash reported that Japanese police received a report from residents about a strong stench coming from an apartment in Toshima, Tokyo. Three fire trucks, two ambulances, and police were immediately dispatched to the scene to investigate. At the scene, police discovered a badly decomposed body. After verification, authorities said the apartment belonged to actress Tono Nagiko and she had been out of contact for several days.
Police said the body had been dead for several days and could not be identified by the naked eye. Therefore, authorities can only wait for the results of DNA tests, which are expected next week, to determine whether the body is Tono Nagiko. At the scene, the investigation team also found no traces of assault or other crimes. Therefore, they suspect that the deceased may have died from a sudden illness, an accident, or extreme behavior.
