Gigi Hadid showed off a construction site–chic look on Tuesday when she filmed a Maybelline commercial in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards neighborhood.
The 27-year-old in-demand model, who has lately been keeping a low profile, was spotted high above the ground on a red steel beam suspended by a crane as filmed the dramatic ad.
The catwalk star appeared to have her own harness to keep her safe in case of an accidental fall, and she held onto the thick metal chains holding the beam up for support.
She showed off an ensemble that blended eye-catching haute couture items with snazzier versions of work clothes that wouldn’t have looked too out of place on a construction site.
Gigi was unmissable thanks to her long-sleeve top, which was covered with sparkling silver sequins that gleamed in the light.
But she dressed down the item with a low-key black ʙuттon-up vest that she wore open, and she contrasted it with a set of tan khaki cargo pants.
The pleated pants had baggy thighs but straps around her ankles for a тιԍнтer fit.
The blond beauty wore her long with a side part and elegant waves cascading down her shoulder.
She complemented her top with a set of shining silver pointy-toed heels, and she rocked a set of thick silver earrings.
Gigi completed her look and added to the construction theme with a pair of black and white work gloves to help her grip the metal chains, along with a slim black utility belt that held several small black compartments.
The model could be seen holding onto the chains and posing with one leg kicked up dramatically.
She also carried a red megaphone and could be seen speaking into it, though it wasn’t clear if it was part of the commercial or just so that she could communicate with the crew members.
The dangling shoot required a camera that was also on a crane, and it was covered in plastic bags to keep it dry in case of rain on the overcast day.
Gigi also appeared to have a smaller beam standing up behind her as a support, though it was painted green, possibly so that it could be digitally erased in post-production to make her feat more impressive.
She has been modeling Maybelline products for years, so it was no surprise that she sported an elegant face of makeup for the shoot.
Gigi has lately been keeping a low profile after it was reported that she was unconcerned by Leonardo DiCaprio’s alleged new romance with the 23-year-old Victoria Lamas.
Gigi and the тιтanic star had briefly dated, making her the first woman he has ever publicly dated over the age of 25, though his dalliance with women slightly closer to his own age was short lived.
Last month, an insider told Page Six that Gigi wasn’t ‘serious’ about Leo, and was instead putting the bulk of her attention toward parenting her two-year-old daughter Khai, whom she shares with her ex-partner Zayn Malik, 29. The two separated — seemingly for good — in October 2021.
‘Neither one wants anything serious right now,’ claimed the source. ‘Gigi’s priority is her daughter.’
She and DiCaprio were first romantically linked in September 2022, when they were seen getting close amid New York Fashion Week.
Leonardo’s jet-setting and his partying ways also appear to have been too much for the model.
Gigi welcomed her first child at her home on the family’s farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in September of 2020.
