Kim Soo Hyun’s Past Comments Resurface Amid Allegations of Relationship with Late Actress Kim Sae Ron

Past remarks from actor Kim Soo Hyun have resurfaced following allegations that he was previously in a relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron.

During a promotional event for Secretly, Greatly in May 2013, Kim Soo Hyun made a statement that has now sparked discussion. When asked about his ideal age for marriage, he responded:

“I made life plans when I was 25. While thinking about how I would make a living in the future, I planned to get married at 36. But I don’t think I can keep that plan.”

At the time, he was 25 years old. He then added:

“Now I’m thinking about marrying a 21-year-old when I’m about 41,”

to which the event host, Kim Tae Jin, jokingly remarked:

“Kindergarteners across the country will be excited hearing this.”

Allegations Regarding Kim Sae Ron

Recently, Kim Sae Ron’s family stated in an interview with HoverLab Inc.:

“It is true that Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron were in a relationship. They dated for six years. Kim Sae Ron did all the work without getting paid to help establish Gold Medalist (Kim Soo Hyun’s agency), but they discarded her like an old shoe.”

Additionally, the family revealed writings left by Kim Sae Ron, in which she stated:

“The photo uploaded to [Instagram] Story is from 2016, and the relationship lasted from November 2016 to July 2021. I was 15 years old, and the other person (Kim Soo Hyun) was 27. That’s how our six-year relationship ended.”

Kim Sae Ron, born in 2000, was 12 years younger than Kim Soo Hyun, who was born in 1988. In March of last year, she posted a photo of herself cheek-to-cheek with Kim Soo Hyun on Instagram but later deleted it.

The allegations have sparked intense discussion among fans and netizens.
