According to Dailymail , one of Ben Affleck’s close friends asked the actor “who is your biggest movie star crush?”, and the answer was Angelina Jolie.
“Ben said he always thought Angelina was hot and admired the way she navigated her career, calling her smart. He thinks Angelina is great at making the move to film directing, which he did with The Town and Argo . They’ll definitely have a lot to talk about over dinner,” the insider said.
The source also said that Ben Affleck and Angelina Jolie are close in age and have many similarities. Another reason why the 51-year-old actor is said to have fallen in love with the 49-year-old star is because Angelina is a family-oriented person like him. Angelina has 6 children with Brad Pitt while Ben has 3 children with his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Garner.

Ben and Angelina have met a few times in the past, including at the 2001 Oscars after-party, where the Batman actor was seen whispering into the Tomb Raider beauty’s ear . At the time, Angelina was one of the hottest young actresses in Hollywood.
In the late 1990s, Ben Affleck dated Iron Man actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who was with Brad Pitt from 1994 to 1997. Gwyneth and Brad even got engaged but later called off the engagement.

Rumors of Ben Affleck falling for Angelina Jolie surfaced after Ben finalized his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. The actor and J.Lo split last summer and finalized their divorce in February. In an interview with GQ magazine last month , Ben said that he and J.Lo broke up not because of scandal or serious conflict but because of very ordinary reasons. However, the actor did not share details about this because “it was a bit embarrassing”.
Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie has kept her private life private since breaking up with Brad Pitt in 2016. She mainly spends time with her 6 children and work.
