On the morning of February 3, the public was shocked by the news that actress Barbie Hsu (Dai S) had passed away at the age of 48. The late actress’s family said that Barbie Hsu had contracted the flu and severe pneumonia while on a trip to Japan to celebrate the New Year. 

On the same afternoon, a person claiming to be Barbie Hsu’s tour guide posted an article revealing details of her schedule in Japan on the social networking site Xiao Hong Shu. 

Barbie Hsu discovered her illness before going to Japan. 

According to ET Today , Barbie Hsu began to have symptoms of a cold and asthma on January 29. However, because she wanted to have a happy moment with her family, the actress continued the trip. 

First, Hsu’s family went to Hakone town to relax at the hot springs. At this time, her condition still showed no signs of improvement.

On the night of January 31, her condition became serious and an ambulance had to be called to take her to a hospital in Hakone. According to the tour guide, for the previous two days, Hsu had stayed in her room and had not gone out. 

On February 1, because the small hospital in Hakone could not accurately diagnose the disease, the late actor was transferred to a higher-level hospital and was diagnosed with influenza A. 

Doctors then prescribed medication and transferred her to a hospital in Tokyo. However, her condition worsened and she passed away on the morning of February 2.

According to Taiwanese media , due to epidemic control regulations, Barbie Hsu’s body will be cremated before being returned to her homeland. Currently, the late actress’s relatives are in Japan to see the actress for the last time. 

Besides, Từ Hy Viên’s family has not yet decided on the time of the funeral and the form of farewell.
