In an interview with the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on April 15, Ashley St. Clair said that Elon Musk offered to pay her $15 million (in one lump sum), plus $100,000/month until their son turned 21, in exchange for silence on the paternity issue.
According to the 9X female writer, Tesla CEO Jared Birchall’s longtime friend approached her after the baby was born in September 2024. This person advised her not to reveal her relationship with the world’s richest billionaire with the promise of financial support.
Ashley told WSJ she did not sign the agreement because she did not want her son to feel like he was an illegitimate child.

Ashley also claims the terms of the contract are unfair. It prohibits her from speaking publicly about Elon Musk, but does not cover instances where he has made negative comments about her.
Additionally, the contract does not include security costs, support if the child becomes seriously ill, and a trust fund or life insurance if Elon Musk dies before the child turns 21, according to Ashley.
The social media star also has to pay back $15 million if he violates the terms of the agreement.
The writer was implied to have been threatened by Birchall, who reportedly warned her not to resist because it “always ends worse for women”.
As Elon Musk’s money manager, Birchall was responsible for negotiating non-disclosure agreements with women the tech billionaire asked to have children with.
According to WSJ, he is known to have fathered at least 14 children with four different women, but many sources say he may have many more children around the world.
Elon Musk was accused of soliciting women on social media platform X, and after success, offering sperm. Cryptocurrency influencer Tiffany Fong also received the offer, but refused.
During the interview, Ashley also revealed how her son with Elon Musk was created.
The 26-year-old beauty confirmed that the baby was conceived naturally during a New Year’s trip to St. Barts Island (France).
She said Elon Musk mentioned choosing a name for the child. He also reportedly talked about having children frequently during the time they were together.
Elon Musk is said to have made many strange requests. One of them is to have children by caesarean section because he believes that natural births limit the size of babies’ brains.
The WSJ article also reported that a New York court ordered a paternity test, which found that Elon Musk was the child’s father with a 99.9999% probability.
In addition, Ashley publicly named her son Romulus St. Clair for the first time. In court documents, the child is abbreviated as RSC.

Elon Musk has not commented on the WSJ article . The only time he proactively spoke out about the rumor of having a 13th child was on March 31.
“I don’t know if the child is mine, but I’m not opposed to finding out the truth. No court order required. Even though I don’t know for sure, I gave Ashley $2.5 million and sent her another $500,000 a year,” he wrote on X.
Ashley mentioned the money in a new interview. She claims she fulfilled some of Elon Musk’s wishes during her pregnancy, including staying in his apartment to keep the secret from leaking out. In return, Elon Musk sent her $2 million in expenses, but half of that was in loans. The WSJ has seen and confirmed that there are text messages between the two.
