Three members of The Nelons unfortunately died in a private plane crash on July 26. The plane involved in the accident was identified as a Pilatus PC-12/47E single-engine turboprop.
Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Clark, and daughter Amber Nelon Kistler were on a Gaither Homecoming tour to Alaska at the time. The National Transportation Safety Board said the crash occurred near Recluse, Wyoming, an area in the northeastern part of the state. In addition to the three members of the Nelon family, four other people died on the flight, including the pilot.
