Due to a shoulder injury, the Real Madrid midfielder will miss the matches against Malta and North Macedonia
The English Football Association (FA) announced that this Tuesday (January 14), midfielder Jude Bellingham will be absent from the England team in the matches against Malta and North Macedonia, in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
The highlight of Real Madrid this season, this player suffered a left shoulder injury in the match against Rayo Vallecano, on October 5 at LALIGA. Since then, this athlete has not returned to play for the Spanish club and was removed from the squad by coach Gareth Southgate.
In addition to Bellingham, Chelsea defender Levi Colwill also had a shoulder problem and was cut. According to the FA, the couple went to St. George’s Park for review on Monday (13). Both will return to their respective clubs to continue treatment.
Having qualified for the European Championship in Germany in 2024, the English team is leading Group C with 16 points after 6 matches. The matches against Malta and North Macedonia take place on November 17 and 20, respectively.
